BotCon® Japan 1998 Merchandise


BarbearianTM/Grizzly-1TM

The first of the two toy exclusives was BarbearianTM/Grizzly-1TM, a brown and yellow repainted version of Polar ClawTM from Beast Wars®. These colors were intended to represent the original prototype version of the toy before it was changed for its mass-market release. Click here to view his tech spec.



Double PunchTM

The second of the two toy exclusives was Double PunchTM, a translucent red repainted version of ScorponokTM from Beast Wars®. These colors were intended to represent the original prototype version of the toy before it was changed for its mass-market release. Click here to view his tech spec.



Shirts

Two shirts were available to preregistrants. The first was of Hot RodTM in either red or black, and the second was of MegatronTM in either white or black. Artwork for both shirts was by Yuki Oshima.



Rings

Three sets of rings were available to attendees. The first set was of Optimus PrimeTM and MegatronTM, with one of each given to each attendee. The second set was the G1 AutobotTM and G1 DecepticonTM sigils. The third set was an alternate version of the G1 sigils and the Matrix of Leadership.



Program

A program pamphlet was given to each attendee.
